Boudoir Comfort Levels Explained
Boudoir photography sits on a spectrum. At one end: fully clothed, intimate portraits. At the other: fully nude fine art photography. Most sessions land somewhere in the middle — and exactly where is entirely up to you.
Fully clothed is absolutely valid
Some of the most powerful boudoir images we've created have involved barely any skin at all. An oversized knit, a tailored blazer with nothing underneath, a dancer's bodysuit. The intimacy in boudoir comes from the expression, the light, the intention — not the amount of skin on show.
Classic lingerie
A beautiful matching set is the most common choice for a reason. It's familiar, it offers support and shape, and it photographs beautifully. You can stay right here and have an extraordinary session.
Semi-sheer and bodysuit options
For those who want to push a little further, sheer fabrics and bodysuit cuts create a sense of vulnerability and artistry without feeling fully exposed. These work particularly well for clients who want something that feels more editorial or fashion-forward.
Tasteful implied and fine art nude
For clients who want to go further, we offer tasteful implied nudity and fine art nude sessions. These are always client-led — nothing happens that you haven't explicitly agreed to, and you can change your mind at any point without question or consequence.
You're in control
Your comfort level is not a constraint on us — it's the foundation we build from. We will never push you to do anything you're not comfortable with, and we'll never make you feel like you're "not doing it properly" if you want to keep your session more covered. You call the shots. Literally.
