What to Expect at Your First Boudoir Session
Not knowing what to expect is one of the biggest barriers to booking. So let's walk through exactly what a session with us looks like — no surprises.
Arriving
You'll arrive at the agreed time and Sally will greet you. We'll make you a drink, show you around the space, and just talk for a bit. There's no rush to get started. We want you to feel comfortable in the space before anything happens.
The consultation (built into your session)
Sally will sit with you and go through your outfits, talk about the looks you have in mind, and discuss what you're hoping to get from the session. This isn't a form-filling exercise — it's a conversation between two people who want the same thing: brilliant photos of you.
Getting started
Sally will guide you into your first look and we'll start gently. The first few shots are always about getting comfortable — finding your rhythm, loosening up, getting used to the process. Nobody looks stiff and awkward in their final gallery because we don't rush past this stage.
During the shoot
Sally directs every pose. You won't be left wondering what to do with your hands. She'll adjust a shoulder, tilt a chin, suggest a micro-movement. Trev works around you quietly, looking for the light and the moment. You might barely notice him.
Between looks
You'll change privately. Sally will be outside or in the room if you'd prefer, but Trev steps out entirely. There's no rushing. Take your time, check in with yourself, and let us know if you need a break, a drink, or just a moment.
The end of the session
We'll wrap up naturally — you'll feel it when we get there. We'll show you a few preview images on the screen (enough to get excited, not enough to overwhelm) and talk you through the viewing and selection process.
Your viewing appointment
Usually 2–3 weeks later, you'll come back to view your full gallery and make your selections. This is the part where most people cry. In the good way.
